What do I need to set up before Behavly can do anything?

Three things. The tracking snippet on your site, which is where all behaviour data comes from. A connected sending account, because without one campaigns cannot send and the Inbox has nothing to read. Then a first campaign, built in six guided steps that end on a review screen. Nothing sends until you finish it.

How does Behavly know who a visitor is?

The snippet detects a signed-in session on your site by itself. There is no identify call to add. Each identified user is listed once, as a person: visits from a laptop and a phone are merged under the same email. Sessions that could not be tied to a person are listed separately as anonymous, one row per browser profile.

Will Behavly send emails without my approval?

Only if you want it to. Approval is on by default: every generated email waits for you, and the campaign stays in review until you approve it. If you would rather not review each one, turn approval off and emails send as soon as they are generated. In the Inbox, replies are never sent on their own: Behavly can write the draft, but you send it.

Which email accounts can I connect?

Any mailbox that supports IMAP and SMTP: Gmail or iCloud with an app password, Titan, Zoho, Fastmail, your own domain’s mail host. You can connect several, and replies to your campaigns land in the Behavly Inbox with each sender’s activity on your site alongside.

How is my customers’ data handled, and can I limit what reaches AI?

You stay in control. AI can be turned off for your whole workspace, and when it is on you decide how customer data is treated before it is used and how long behaviour data is kept. Visitor IP addresses are never stored. Every account, campaign and workspace action is recorded in an audit log you can export.
