# AI Controls

**Settings → Account & Settings → AI & Privacy** controls how your data reaches AI models.

#### Switching AI Off Entirely

AI features can be switched off for the **whole workspace**. Campaigns then send only copy you wrote yourself — the Design step is forced into as-is mode and the generated mode cannot be chosen.

#### How Customer Data Is Handled

When AI is on, you choose how customer data is treated before it is sent to a model, and you set how long behavioural data is retained.

#### Company Websites In Emails

To personalise campaign emails, Behavly can read the **public website** of the company in a recipient's work address (never for personal mailboxes such as Gmail): the homepage, and the About page when the homepage says too little. The summary is stored for your workspace only and reused for later emails. A website that belongs to a private person is never summarised or stored.

| Setting | What happens |
| --- | --- |
| **Automatic** (default) | Follows who your Brand website says you sell to. Businesses, or businesses and private people: a recipient with a work address is a business and their company's website is used. Private people: every recipient is private. Until Behavly knows, every recipient is private. |
| **Always** | Every recipient with a work address is a business, for contacts and leads alike. |
| **Never** | Every recipient is private. No recipient's company website is read. |
